Some Worshippers of Taqleed invalidly taking evidence from a narration of Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Moosa bin Umayr, From Alqamah bin Waail from his Father (Waail ibn Hujr) radiallah anhu that: “I saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) placing his right hand over the left.” [Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah: 1/390 H. 3938, and other books of hadeeth]

The following is the takhreej of this hadeeth in the form of a chart:

index

From this takhreej, it gets proven that in the narrations of four out five students of Moosa bin Umayr, the addition”Tahta Surrah (Under the Navel)” is not present. There are four students of the fifth student, Imaam Wakee bin al-Jarraah. And among those four students, the narrations of three of them, do not contains that addition “Tahta Surrah (Under the Navel)”. And in the book of the fourth student (Ibn Abi Shaybah), there is Ikhtilaaf (dispute) in its nuskhas (versions), and in many nuskhaas, the words of “Tahta Surrah (Under the Navel)” are not present. Therefore, the people of taqleed taking evidence from this dubious phrase, is wrong.
